The successful applicant will need to be fully qualified and be expected to carry out research and create financial investment reports for the Independent Financial Advisors in the team, in order to give to the client. This position is office-based and the work will be varied. You will provide the backup to enable Financial Advisors to concentrate on fact-finding, client review and relationship management.

You, the successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be a confident performer in this position of responsibility.

Applicants will need to be FPC, CFP, CEFA or equivalent qualified and be working towards full compliancy by the end of the year.

McBarron Wood are delighted to be instructed to work on behalf of this well respected Oxfordshire based Professional Practice who are seeking an Accounting Manager / Finance Manager to head their team.

You will need to have most recently worked in a similar position with Practice and be qualified ACCA/ACA.

The role will see you:

• Review work produced by members of staff
• Assist with the development of staff
• Assist with monitoring performance level of the team, identify areas of improvement and address as required
• Assist with management of the activities of the team and resources to meet budget requirements as required
• Set team and individual objectives and evaluate progress when required
• Ensure all responsibilities are met in accordance with the Firm’s procedures and Staff Handbook
• Understand the need for confidentiality when dealing with staff issues and information
• Liaise with peers to ensure consistent approach to matters concerning staff

Accounts

• Preparation of statutory accounts (primarily FRSSE) from both computer and manual records
• Produce tax computations for limited companies
• Report to partners directly.

Other duties

• As requested from time to time by more senior staff
• Attendance at marketing events
• Engaging in business development activity
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and good practices are adhered to
• Attend training as and when required
